Physical Therapy
Our highly skilled Physical Therapists will focus on pain management, restoring functional gross and fine motor skills while strengthening, reconditioning, improving body mechanics. At Above & Beyond we treat individuals of all ages who have physical health conditions that limit their abilities to perform activities in their daily lives. Our physical therapist will work closely with each individual and develop a treatment plan to improve their ability to move, reduce pain, and restore quality of life.
Occupational Therapy
Our Occupational Therapists are trained to help patient's whose lives have been altered by physical or mental disease, injury or other health problems. Patients of any age can benefit from occupational therapy to prevent injury and improve skills needed to perform everyday tasks or duties at home, work, or school. Specific examples include activities of daily living such as using a computer, writing a check, and driving a car. Our occupational therapist will also develop a strengthening program to improve function for an active lifestyle.
Hand Therapy
Our Hand Therapy Program consists of an evaluation and treatment plan by an OT or PT specializing in hand therapy and upper extremities. The purpose of hand therapy is to restore strength, range of motion, functional use and to decrease pain levels. Above & Beyond Therapy is dedicated to each patient's treatment and rehabilitation, with the goal of returning all patient's to daily activities at the highest possible level of function.>
Pediatric Therapy
At Above and Beyond therapy we work with children ages 3 through adolescence, who are experiencing functional limitations or developmental disabilities due to trauma, cognitive delays or medical disease. Pediatric therapy addresses problems related to a wide variety of developmental disabilities. As therapists, our goal is to encourage children to reach and participate in normal developmental activities.
Our pediatric therapists are continually assessing the child's abilities and adjusting treatment appropriately. Treatment sessions may take place as frequently as once or twice a week to once or twice a month. Sessions may last between 30 to 60 minutes.
